Featuring Allison Matherly
As the Coordinator for Digital Engagement, Allison Matherly finds herself in the role of Social Media Coordinator and Community Manager of the Texas Tech social media channels. She also handles the Emergency Communications Center and TechA!ert System, and develops content for various web presences across campus. Matherly has served in many different roles with the TTU Office of Communications and Marketing including media relations intern and PR in new media intern, and then found herself working full-time before graduation as the web content developer and writer where she developed content for Texas Tech Today Daily News, the monthly e-newsletter, as well as writing features. She is a 2010 graduate of Texas Tech with a bachelor’s in public relations and a minor in American Sign Language (ASL). She is currently working on her Master of Arts in Mass Communication at the TTU College of Media and Communication. Matherly is an avid Twitter and Facebook user and enjoys learning about new social networking sites and how they are changing the world of communications.
